Europe

First time in the UK and the world is as good as a movie!

I have a good friend who wants to see the world in her lifetime – Ally. I, on the other hand, am only interested in beautiful scenery, so I became her travel partner.

For example, I was anxious about my trip to the UK, which was scheduled for the 2nd, but I only got my visa on the 1st, so I was able to get it.

I usually choose to travel to Thailand, Japan, South Korea and other nearby countries, the similarity of geographical location, there is not much difference in the landscape, just tourism. It was a bit exciting to be on a 12 hour flight for the first time, so I didn’t fall asleep and was excited to pretty much order all the movies I could watch. When I arrived in the UK, there was no jet lag, so I went to the car dealership, picked up my car and set off on my way.

My feet were a bit weak when I was driving, I felt like I was dreaming, and Ally was sitting in the passenger seat, constantly reminding me to drive to the left, which is the opposite of home.

After picking up two other friends, we started our journey around the UK in a counter-clockwise circle, Big Ben – the London Eye – various churches️ – Parliament Hall to see the ceremony – Ally’s guide was very complete and introduced me to the past and present of the place when we arrived at the visit. I was told about the past and present life of the place and the various legends and stories.

My knowledge of the UK mostly comes from the process of learning English, listening to the locals speak, I think it’s really good, I am also suffering from the poison of several years of English education, learning for so many years also can not speak, however, I found similar situational dialogue, or can understand, it is not in vain to learn.

After going to Cambridge, I realized that Xu Zhimo’s Kangqiao refers to this place, I once thought it was in Shanghai; after entering Scotland, jk.Rowling’s Black Forest is more and more, as if entering the magic world, the north of England is mostly mountainous, narrow roads and few cars, it is still pretty, passing green meadows are bordered by a fat rabbit, and in the distance are black sheep, after entering the highlands, Ally told us about the movie Braveheart”, also filmed here, along with the Braveheart theme song played, bursts of bagpipes from the heart, touching the depths of memory of the moving, sad, sensational, brave, unknowingly I tear up. The words and landscapes that I have seen in books and films seem to be a wall-breaking encounter between the second and third dimension when they are shown in front of you, and those images that I once imagined are right under my feet and in front of me, and I have never felt that the world is so beautiful.

There are many castles in the UK, and I went in for a card when I passed one along the way, some of which I couldn’t find much information on, so I had to feel it for myself, looking at the broken walls and imagining the palace coups that had been staged, the glorious, romantic, thrilling stories that seemed like yesterday, everyone’s brains making up various vampire images.

Entering a small town in the depths of Scotland, the weekend began with various masquerade balls, princesses in exaggerated princess dresses; fancifully painted nuns; clowns in bow ties; knights in pointy leather shoes …… One by one, well-dressed Brits walked past me. I have never felt that life could be so unguarded, and apart from the annual company party, I hardly ever had such opportunities to dress up and let myself go.

When we arrived at the northernmost tip of the UK, wrapped in layer after layer of sheets, we chose to go out to sea and boarded an unnamed island to view a small bird that looked like a penguin. The sea breeze was blowing us around in the Atlantic Ocean and it was lovely to see those cute little birds feeding and nesting in the wind-blown grass (๑- . -๑๑), the diverse beauty of nature was revealed in a flash.

By the end of the short 12-day trip, it was as if I had experienced a journey through medieval Europe, mysterious, new and addictive.
